Business of the Year Award
On the weekend the team from P&L Accountants got dressed up like they never have before to celebrate being nominated as finalist for the Business of The Year Award. The event was hosted by the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce at the Inaugural Macquee Awards night; A Black tie event that took place at Brookwater Golf Club.
To say that we were excited to be finalists was an understatement. It was such a priviledge to be selected as a finalist with over 100 nominations by other worthy businesses.
To actually have won… That is incredible!
Paula has worked hard over the years building her foundation and growing her business exactly how she wanted. She sought opportunity in what others deemed a burden. 5 years later she has an amazing team of women that are able to excel in their career, whilst being able to make the ever important extra curricular events for their children. In today’s society, it can often be hard to juggle both without sacrifice to one.
As a Mum of 3, Paula knew how important it was to be able to offer her staff this opportunity.
Paula also recognised that her business wouldnt be anything without the support of the local community.Over the past few years, as Paula’s business grew she was able to give back the support that helped her get to where she is today.
Last years efforts was that $10 from every tax return was donated to Red Cross in support of the Drought. This has continued this year with a pledge to Mater for the 2019-2020 tax season.
She has also donated time to the local schools in the community, supporting the year 12 students work experience assessment pieces.
She has also taken on work experience students through the University of Southern Queensland.
It has definitely been an exciting 5 years for us!
